Mr. James Mckeown Amoah

Mr. James Mckeown Amoah is the national organizer for the Ghana Public Health Association and the lead person for this project. Prior to becoming the national organizer, he, served as the public relations officer for the association. He is a registered nurse working at the renal dialysis unit of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as a Senior Nursing Officer. He was a member of the project team and advisory committee that implemented the just ended project to strengthen Antimicrobial Stewardship through improving surveillance and building sustainable capacity in Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly [LEKMA] Hospital, Ghana. This project was jointly implemented by Ghana Public Health Association and the Faculty of Public Health, UK. He is the chairman of the outreach committee of Liver Cancer Foundation and has organized health outreach programs in almost all regions in Ghana. He holds a bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Ghana, and a Master of Nursing degree from the University of Zululand, South Africa. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Global Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM).
